Longmont Shuttle Equips Entire Fleet With Life Saving AED's

Only Operator In Colorado To Install AED's Across Fleet

What's an AED? It stands for Automatic External Defibrillator. What you may not know is that they have been mandatory on all commercial aircraft since 2004.

And in 2013, the City Of Denver, in conjunction with the Red Cross, installed over 1000 AED's across the city, in public places such as libraries, shopping centers and office buildings.

25% of all Shuttle customers are seniors. That puts them in a higher risk category when it comes to heart related illness and heart attacks and sudden cardiac arrest.

I believe AED's should be mandatory across the entire transportation industry. We have a duty of care to all our customers to provide the safest vehicles and the safest environment possible. All our vehicles are equipped with extensive first aid kits, multiple fire extinguishers and now life saving AED's.

The training has been conducted by Longmont EMT's as opposed to First Aid Instructors who in many cases, have little to no first hand experience using such devices.

I hope that we never have to use an AED onboard any of our vehicles but I want all our clients to know that the team have been well trained and the shuttle they ride in is the best equipped possible.

Airport Pick Up Procedure

We wanted to remind you of the pick up procedure at DIA

  • Meeting point is West Side, Island 5, Shuttle Area (across from door 510)
  • You will receive a text when the shuttle is en route
  • If you arrive and collect bags on the East Side, you will have to make your way through the terminal to the West side
  • From time to time, we may upgrade your service to a Black Car at no additional charge. If this is the case, you will be notified by the driver that the pick up point will be Island 2, Limo Section (either West or East). This is because the pick up procedure for limousines is different to that of Shuttle operators

In The News

Eight Black Transport and Longmont Shuttle in recent Times Call and Daily Camera Article About Competitor - Boulder Transportation LLC

  • I wanted to take a moment to outline a story that ran today in the Times Call and Daily Camera. Its not particularly flattering about us but thats the good thing about living here - free speech. While I wont bore you with our business strategy, what I will tell you that our our marketing strategy is 100% focussed in the online space. Our long-term aim is to provide a business class shuttle experience from all the major towns across the front range (eg Boulder, Longmont, Firestone, Frederick, Fort Collins). My philosophy is to build our business one customer at a time and we will continue to be aggressive in our overall marketing approach. Longmont Shuttle has carried more than 2500 people since launch and the majority of our customers have been happy with our product.
  • We have a competitor in Longmont who we will always compete fairly with and we will never enter a price war - we believe in our product and our price point and that the customer should always have a choice or option as to which service to use.
